Where is Luss, and how far is it?
We are in the village of Luss on the west shore of Loch Lomond, just off the A82. There are entrances at both the north and south ends of the village.

It is an easy run up the A82 and one of the prettiest drives in Scotland, so it is well worth making a day of it.
Where can I park?
Please park at Luss South Car Park, G83 8NX. Our check in hut is right there in the car park, so you can park and walk straight over to collect your activity packs.
Parking charges apply. If the south car park is full, there is further parking available at Luss North Car Park.
Please note that parking in the village itself is by permit only. To avoid a fine, please use one of the car parks rather than parking on the village streets.

If you are coming by bus, Luss can be reached from Balloch, and it is a 5 to 10 minute walk from the village stops to the trail start.

Is there a pumpkin patch?
Yes. Our pop up Pumpkin Patch is back for 2026, and this year it has moved to a bigger field. You will find it inside Faerie Tale Farm at the end of the trail.
Pumpkins can be picked and paid for on the day. We also offer ticket options that include a pumpkin, and pumpkins can be added as an extra to any ticket option and paid for when you book.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. Dogs on leads are very welcome on the trail and in the Pumpkin Patch this year.
Dogs are not allowed inside the farm park where the animals are.
Please keep your dog on a lead at all times and clean up after them. Dog bins are provided at the start and end of the trail.
Is the trail suitable for buggies?
We do not recommend buggies on the trail, although many people do bring them.
The trail is not suitable for double buggies because of a narrow bridge, and there are some steep sections and steps along the way.
Is the trail wheelchair accessible?
At this time the trail is not wheelchair accessible. There are some steep sections, steps and a narrow bridge along the way.
We are working to improve this, so please keep an eye out for updates.
Where can we eat?
Luss is a lovely spot to make a day of it, and everything is within a short walk of the car park.
The Loch Lomond Arms. Lunch and dinner, right beside Luss South Car Park.
Scoff & Patter. Beside the distillery, and just the thing for breakfast or a snack before you set off.
Luss General Store. Pop in for a hot chocolate, tea or coffee from the coffee counter to warm up afterwards, and have a browse of the Scottish gifts while you are there.
If you are bringing your own, there are picnic benches at the far end of Luss South Car Park, and seating areas within Loch Lomond Trails.
